چکیده
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a threat to global public health and challenge in treating infectious diseases. This has resulted shift of research attention natural substances such as medicinal plants that could be source developing novel drugs. Combretum dolichopetalum been reported have antidiarrhoeal effects rats. In this study, the antibacterial potential different concentrations methanolic extract was evaluated against seven pathogenic bacteria (Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus, Salmonella gallinarum, Aeromonas hydrophilia, Pasteurella multocida, Klebsiella pneumoniae Shigella dysenteriae) at using agar well diffusion method. Antibiogram these organisms were also carried out by Kirby Bauer disk Zones inhibition calculated means ± SEM. Result showed plant had significant concentration dependent activity compared distilled water some known drugs (P<0.05). All all bacteria, unlike drugs, which selective activity, with 400 mg/ml, showing highest activity. Tested exhibited high level synthetic ranging from 48% 100%. Multi-drug observed. S. B. cereus E. coli 100% test antibiotics. Ampicillin-Clavulanic acid Ceftriaxone. Results study show C. possesses antimicrobial it inhibited growth bacteria.
